Using Social Bookmarking To Increase Your Site Profile

Social bookmarking is an easy way to get some high ranking one way links to your website. Simply set up a free account with the various social bookmarking sites; designate a few tags, and that's it.

Adding your own websites to your bookmarks is not link baiting - it is a convenient way to check your own websites from any PC. And of course, the tags help others find you as well, adding to your traffic.

Take the time to add a few comments to your site links to help others ascertain their value.

Try:

  1. Digg
  2. del.icio.us

Since bookmarkers publicly share their bookmarks , other users of that bookmarking service may be alerted to your websites and links.

Beware - using social bookmark sites to manipulate page rank is against the game rules of both the bookmarking site administrators and the search engines.  For this reason, not all social bookmarking sites pass PageRank to your site.

You are best to add Bookmarking Tags to your websites to encourage others to bookmark and tag your site.
