RSS Content Feeds

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". This is a technology that allows web sites to syndicate, or distribute, their content among other sites.

Well known news syndication sources like Reuters and the Associated Press have been used by newspapers around the world to syndicate print and web copy.

RSS is a similar concept for online content syndication from many sources. It's a great way to get daily updated content to your site, accessible by search engines.

IIf you have regularly updated copy on your own site, setting up your own content to be accessible to others is a great linking strategy, Google loves it!

TIPS:

  1. Check the format of the content delivery before you publish. Some are really messy.
  2. Get links to open in new windows - especially if you have news links on your home page.

RSS Tutorials
