eBook sales are at the tipping point of going mainstream, with significant increases in both publishing and sales across major nations.

More importantly, the rate of growth in ebook sales is accelerating, in spite of economic difficulties. Previous sales number show an estimated 57 percent QonQ increase for Q1 2009 over Q4 2008.

Also note that retail sales are around double wholesale sales due to mark up on wholesale pricing, meaning retail sales could reach $300 million for 2009.
